Phase 1 is a Houston-based band drawing from many genres including jazz, latin, funk, and nu jazz, creating a synergistic cultural palette of sounds. From classic Afro-Cuban to Brazilian funk to groove-based jazz, Phase 1 will bring an energetic show to Jazz, TX. Founding musician Dr. José-Miguel Yamal is a Chilean-American jazz pianist and graduate from the High School for the Performing and Visual Arts (HSPVA) in Houston, Texas. Dr. Yamal also moonlights as a professor on biostatistics specializing in clinical trials and machine learning. Don't miss the chance to see this stellar Houston band!
