Come and experience the Jazz, TX New Orleans band this July 4th as they throw Mr. Armstrong a New Orleans-style celebration full of music, freedom, and a little bit of jazz history! "Louis Armstrong is an icon of American music, not only jazz but I think we can say he represents American music and spirit," says Adriana Filstrup of the Louis Armstrong House Museum in Corona, Queens.⁠ Louis Armstrong, the legendary ambassador of jazz, always claimed he was born on the Fourth of July—a fitting connection for a night that honors the spirit of independence. While records later showed he was actually born in August, Louis proudly celebrated the Fourth his entire life, making it part of his story and the spirit he shared with the world.
