The Hot Club of Cowtown

Whit Smith's guitar and Elana James's fiddle argue and agree in the same breath. That argument is the sound of Hot Club of Cowtown: old hot jazz braided into Texas swing.

The Austin trio just joined the International Western Music Hall of Fame, on top of a Texas Western Swing Hall of Fame honor and fifteen albums. Their album Limelight hits CD this month after a run as a digital-only release in 2025. Hear a Django Reinhardt lick land next to a Bob Wills fiddle break, from three players who have carried this sound from the Grand Ole Opry to Fuji Rock.
