The Tommy Howard Organ Trio

The Tommy Howard Organ Trio is an Austin, TX based group and features Tommy Howard on guitar, Terry Bowness on organ, and legendary drummer Tom Brechtlein (Chick Corea, Wayne Shorter) on drums. They have been active in the Central Texas area for several years and have a wide ranging repertoire that honors the tradition of the classic B3 jazz organ trio while also looking forward and pulling from multiple styles and genres of music. Expect to hear anything from Jimmy Smith to Wayne Shorter to The Beatles to Soundgarden or Radiohead. And everything in between!

Originally from San Antonio, Tommy Howard has been a mainstay on the Austin Music scene for over 20 years, performing with Tony Campise, Butch Miles, Dr. James Polk, Andre Hayward, Ephraim Owens, Elias Haslanger, and many others. In addition to leading his own groups, Howard is a member of the five time Austin Music Award-winning ensemble, Church On Monday. Howard’s debut trio album, Storybook, was released in 2017.
