After honing their craft in Austin’s vibrant music scene—performing, teaching, and producing—the duo found inspiration in the intricate rhythms and harmonies of Brazilian choro. With Darin on seven-string guitar and David on six-string, they developed a dynamic interplay that breathes new life into century-old compositions while crafting their own original works. Their discography showcases their evolving artistry, from 2014’s Poison Flower to Stringology (2017) and D Shack (2021). Their latest release, Free Advice (2024), further solidifies their reputation for rich musical storytelling and virtuosic interplay.
