Jazz, TX Presents: Battle of the Jazz Bands!

Two elite jazz quartets enter. Every solo counts. The winner is anyone’s guess.

Equal parts concert and comedy, "Battle of the Jazz Bands" is a wildly entertaining new way to experience jazz, played by seriously talented musicians who are very much in on the joke. Led by Doc Watkins, this live showdown puts brilliant jazz players head-to-head in a performance where anything can happen, and probably will.

Solos will be challenged. Rules may appear out of nowhere. Audience members might influence the outcome. And through all the surprise twists, musical curveballs, and onstage chaos, one thing is certain: the jazz will be GREAT.

Representing the home turf: the Jazz, TX House Band, led by Brandon Guerra, an audience favorite for good reason. Crossing city lines to challenge them: Doc's Houston House Band, led by Graeme Francis, arriving with something to prove.

Bragging rights are on the line. Come watch them duke it out.
