More than a tribute to the familiar legends, this show explores the wider world of the genre, celebrating artists such as Johnny Copeland, W.C. Clark, Big Mama Thornton, Johnny “Guitar” Watson, Freddie King, and more.

Built for longtime blues lovers and curious new listeners alike, the evening highlights the grit, soul, and unmistakable Texas edge that set this music apart. Driven by gritty guitar, deep feeling, and the unpolished edge that gives Texas blues its character, "Texas Blues Revue" brings the genre’s power and depth to life.

Fort Worth native Nick Brown is a highly skilled multi-instrumentalist known for his work on tenor saxophone and clarinet with 10-time GRAMMY Award-winning band Asleep at the Wheel. In 2023, he founded Nick Brown and The Blues Cruise as a vehicle for his deep love of the blues, bringing the full band to tonight’s performance. Brown holds degrees in clarinet from the Cincinnati College-Conservatory of Music and the University of Texas, and maintains an active performance schedule across Central Texas and beyond.
