The Toro Flores Quintet, a group of San Antonio’s top musicians led by the local jazz legend and entertainer Toro Flores, aka El Toro Fantastico, offers a unique blend of original music and thrilling reinterpretations of jazz and pop standards. Their music, a fusion of various genres, promises an exciting and diverse musical experience. The musicians, who have studied under the guidance of world-famous artists such as Bill Evans, Ellis Marsalis, and Anthony Cirone, are set to deliver a performance that will leave you in awe. Toro Flores is a multi-instrumentalist and music educator from San Antonio, Texas. Mr. Flores has been performing and playing music for over 35 years, making his mark on marimba. As well as being San Antonio's premiere mallet performer (marimba, vibraphone, and xylophone), Flores is also an accomplished guitar player, playing with many notable San Antonio area bands and musicians.
