GENRE-FUSING, TEXAS FORCE OF NATURE PATRICIA VONNE CELEBRATES HER 10th CD RELEASE PARTY for ‘MY HEART’S GOT A MIND OF ITS OWN.’

San Antonio-born Latin roots rocker explores new dimensions of her signature blend of Spanish-style flamenco, bilingual Tex-Mex, Americana, roots rock and “straight-no-chaser” rock ‘n’ roll.

Equal parts velvet and desert dust, songwriter, actress and filmmaker Patricia Vonne continues her celebration of the music and culture of her beloved South Texas.

The title track is a co-write with her long time heroes Chris Isaak and Fort Worth, TX sax man Johnny Reno. Vonne roots her music in Texas grit but splashes it with Mexican folk, flamenco fire, rock swagger and a touch of cabaret drama. The ninth-generation Tejana’s new album blends Texas roots rock, Latin and Americana music, pulling creative influence from sounds ranging from Buddy Holly, Stray Cats, Charanga Cakewalk, to tunes from classic MGM musicals and even Marilyn Monroe from the film “Some Like it Hot.” With this new project, she brings her signature magnetism to fans wrapped up in a noir-meets-Fiesta package.
